LICENSE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
After you’ve purchased ALIIX you’ll receive two emails, one from Plimus (our payment processing partner) as an order confirmation and receipt, and the other from Aquaware.Org, which will have the license file attached as ALIIXLicense.license. The attached license file DOES NOT NEED TO BE OPENED, just moved, copied or saved to the C:\Program Files\ALIIX directory.
First and foremost, ensure that the attached filename is either ALIIXLicense.license. If not, rename it to exactly this filename.
Here is a list of methods:
- Drag & Drop – if you know how to do this, then no explanation is necessary. The directory location for the placement of the license file is in your C:\Program Files\ALIIX.
- Using an Email Program Installed on Your Computer – which means that you DON’T use Web-based email accounts like Hotmail, Gmail, Juno, Yahoo, Inbox, Incredimail, but have your email program installed on your computer. Right click the attached license. If the resultant menu has Detach or Save As, selecting either one should produce a dialog box with which you can browse to the C:\Program Files\ALIIX directory and save it there. Save As will give you the option to rename it, which you won’t do. Then follow the instructions as given in the last sentence.
- Web-based Email: if you use Web-based email such as Hotmail, Gmail, Juno, Yahoo, Inbox, Incredimail, most of which are free, they’ll have a utility to either download attachments or save them to the storage of your account. In most cases, it’s a right click to reach the appropriate menu. If “Download” is an option, this is the easiest selection to make as the resulting dialog box will give you the option to browse directly to your C:\Program Files\ALIIX directory.
